The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia GEM National Report 2021–2022 highlights how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted entrepreneurship and established business ownership. Half of entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia stated that the pandemic had brought new opportunities to pursue—just slightly less than in 2020. However, only 30% of established business owners had this perception in 2021, compared with 56% in 2020.
